The village of Ribaritsa has a population of 1400 inhabitants and it is the most picturesque among the thirteen towns and villages in the municipality of Teteven. It is situated at 600m above the sea level at the foot of the Teteven Balkan, 12km southeast of the town of Teteven. The village stretches for 12 whole kilometers in the valley of the river Beli Vit and its feeders and it is not accidentally called Ribaritsa. And the bronze figure of the fisherboy- the symbol of the resort, is seen on a rock on the right side of the road at the very beginning of the village.
The charm of Ribaritsa lies in the great number of neat and small houses scattered through the whole resort, buried in greenery and flowers, offering not only silence and calmness, but also the opportunity to feel the authentic unique village atmosphere and home coziness. Here, in Ribaritsa, the traditions are still alive: the old watermills keep on milling, the fulling mills continue fulling the colourful Ribaritsa rugs, the stills are boiling the famous Ribaritsa plum rakia, the skilful housewives are preparing the delicious forest fruit jams, the stock-breeders are making the popular Balkan white brined cheese, the craftsmen’s dexterous hands are creating the beauty out of wool and wood. The biggest attraction of Ribaritsa is the wild nature of the National Park

‘Central Balkan’ and one of its nine green pearls- the biosphere reserve ‘Tsarichina’. The name of the reserve is related to the fabulous legend of the king’s daughter Tamara, cured from an insidious disease with the magic of a scarlet harefoot, which the people from Ribaritsa keep on calling ‘tsarichina’ even nowadays.
There are convenient tourist paths leading to the two neighbour reserves of ‘Tsarichina’  - ‘Boatin’ on the southwest and ‘Kozya Stena’ on the southeast.
From here you can reach very fast the huts ‘Georgi Benkovski’, ‘Eho’ and ‘Vezhen’.
The protected area ‘Cherniyat Rat’ is a real paradise for the ornithologists. There you can watch a variety of birds.
You can derive incredible pleasure from a mountain bike ride through Ribaritsa. By bike you can reach the Rimski Bridge over the river Kostina, feel the romance of the old quarters Bryazovo and Gorunyovo, climb up to the Yakova Cave and the rock bridge over the village. Apart from this you can go out for a romantic retro drive in a cabriolet, a photo safari with a forest picnic, hiking tours through Ribaritsa with a qualified mountain guide, attraction fishing with a fishing picnic.
